Founded  in 1972, Para Research is one of the premier application software houses in the country. Corporate offices are located in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

During the 1980s, Para Research was the world's largest independent  supplier of business software for the IBM System/36. By 1988, Para Research had an installed client base of over 9,000 users. Also a Value Added Reseller (VAR), Para Research won the Grand Prize in the IBM VAR/36 Contest.

In addition, Para Research wrote and published an industry trade magazine called  Mini. Deciding to specialize in business software systems, Para Research discontinued participation in the VAR program and Mini magazine. All energy at Para Research is now focused on the development, support and marketing of our complete line of business software solutions.

Not content with past  success, Para Research continues to look ahead to what software users will need in the future. More than 20 percent of annual revenues are earmarked for software development.
